Tours
Cave tours last about 45 minutes. For more details about the tours and what to expect, please visit our Frequently Asked Questions page. Flash photography is permitted on tours. For safety reasons no tripods or video cameras are allowed on the tour. The information below is also available in our new brochure which you can download in PDF format.
Hours of Operation
Summer Hours
Beginning Memorial Day Weekend and lasting through Labor Day, Mercer Caverns opens daily at 9:00 a.m. The first tour departs at 9:30 a.m., and the last tour departs at 5:00 p.m.
Winter Hours
The rest of the year Mercer Caverns opens Thursday through Monday at 10:00 a.m., the first tour departs at 10:30 a.m., and the last tour departs at 4:30 p.m.Mercer Caverns is closed on Thanksgiving day and Christmas day.

School and other group reservations may be made in advance by calling the caverns directly at (209) 728-2101 or 728-2378.
Admission prices
$22.00 for adults and $16.00 for children ages 3-12 years
Group rates are available for groups of 10 or more people.

Cavern Visitors Center & Store
Please enjoy our Visitor's Center before or after your tour. There are many interesting photos of the cave on the walls and a wide assortment of cave-related souvenirs and merchandise available.
